About this product

Product Information

Over half a million copies sold. From the author that brought you the New York Times bestseller The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People comes a guide to accessing and encouraging the human potential for greatness. In the more than twenty-five years since its publication, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People has become an international phenomenon with more than twenty-five million copies sold. Tens of millions of people in business, government, and schools have dramatically improved their lives and organizations by applying the principles of Stephen R. Covey's classic book. The world, however, is a vastly changed place. Being effective as individuals and organizations is no longer merely an option--it's a requirement for survival. But in order to thrive, innovate, excel, and lead in what Covey calls the New Knowledge Worker Age, we must build on and move beyond effectiveness. In this era of human history, our call is for greatness--holistic fulfillment, passionate execution, and significant contribution. Accessing the higher levels of human genius in today's new reality requires a change in thinking: a new mindset and a new skill-set--in short, a new habit. The crucial challenge of our world today is this: to find our voice and inspire others to find theirs. It is what Covey calls the 8th Habit. The 8th Habit is the answer to the soul's yearning for greatness, the organization's imperative for significance and superior results, and humanity's search for its voice. Covey's books have transformed the way we think about ourselves, our purpose in life, our organizations, and about humankind. Just as The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People helped us focus on effectiveness, The 8th Habit shows us the way to greatness.

As usual, this seller is completely trustworthy: the book was as described, terrific value, arrived very swiftly from America, well packaged and safe. It was an old library book, but in great condition and appearance, and there can be no criticism, simply thanks and praise for a job well done.

An excellent book lot of valuable information regarding all aspects of sewing. A very rare find as bought from the USA. Which was dispatched and and delivered quickly. Excellent communication throughout the transaction. This book was in very good condition as described and well packaged. Happy to highly recommend this seller with reasonable postage from USA. Many thanks.

Book as specified, rapid delivery (from USA to UK), and a reasonable price for the book. Overall, my book arrived in "ok quality" packaging. A padded "book mailer" envelope was used. However, inside, there was no other protective packaging. One small point of constructive feedback: perhaps cardboard packaging could have been implemented, as a number of competing book sellers are now implementing cardboard packaging, especially for higher price books subject to international delivery.

  • Some good points- but a lot of waffle

This book is clearly written by a theorist who spends his time consulting businesses. Whilst his books are informative and contain great tips. He does like to waffle about paradigms and has many diagrams which seem to illustrate the same things. He also starts waffling about his experiences which take away from the overall message. For example, he discusses chronic and acute cancer as an illustration of business/life problems, and goes into detail about how he is invited to participate in a surgeons theater to literally get this point across to the reader- unnecessary and quite insensitive. He discusses how he assisted the president of a psychological association with suicidal tendencies who had a eureka moment when he discovered "Integrity Theory" which gave him the peace he needed in ...
