The black areas of the design need to be opaque, and in most printers, you need to select the printer setting which prints best onto acetate. It will likely be a 'photo' setting - not plain paper. In my 'Eco Tank ET2720' Epson printer I select ‘Ultra Glossy Photo’ paper, and in the 'Ultra Glossy Photo' setting under ‘other options’ set the slider to the right 'max quality’.
