    NOT for Apple Products (OK with Windows)

    The Targus Card is very nicely constructed, but be aware that it will NOT Plug 'n' Play on a Mac, and there are no Drivers available for OSX. On a Windows machine, after a little fiddling about with drivers, it behaves impeccably.

    Gets too hot, very low transfer speeds, usb port too tight

    This is not worth buying if you have an express card port on your laptop. It gets so hot I thought it was going to catch fire ... and that was just with a USB 3.0 flash drive plugged in. The transfer speeds were very very low , I tried the card in my E6230 and my daughters E6430 and both reported speeds no greater than 4.5mbs ... no where near >18mbs i get as a minimum from this flash drive on my home pc via USB 3.0 (I often much more). Also the USB 3.0 port on the Targus card is so tight the express card often gets pulled from the machine entirely when you're disconnecting or you'll find you're self ejecting the card when you plug a device in. In short I can see why Targus has now discontinued these cards .....complete waste of money.

    Only one that just works.

    I've repeatedly bought 2-3 of the cheap 2 port ones. They always lock up my lenovo T430. Well responsiveness gone, mouse sticky - the laptop becomes unuseable. This one ? Just works. And it doesn't jam in the slot.

    I know its cheap,but it still does not fuction as it should.

    Its supposed to be able to use it as an extra USB port .ok it works my mouse only. When I plugged my hard drive in , my computer crashed I tried this twice ,both times my computer crashed.

    when it works it is fast...but...

    upon insertion it is temperamental...reboot and it will be ok, but that is annoying. Could be my build as it does work after a clean boot. So I use as a fixed item in the laptop but if it pulls out while disconnecting USB device, without proper eject, seems I need to reboot?. When working I see up to 45MB/sec transfer.
