Fantastic Invention
I have been hiding my cat’s prescribed pills in small pieces of cheese for about a week, now. Unfortunately the cheese tends to crumble, and the nasty taste put her off taking them again. In desperation I searched online for an alternative, and discovered these ‘pockets’ had good reviews. They were delivered the very next day(!) and I have to say they (literally) worked a treat. Whisky woke up, took her pill - hidden in the pocket - and promptly went back to sleep. I cannot overstate how much easier this task has become. My only criticism is that they are quite pricey, and if Whisky’s medication (3x daily) becomes long term, I might have to make cutbacks elsewhere. these aren't a miracle but you can find ways to enhance them so cats will take them. At 1st my cat refused a pill pocket even without a tablet in, but I'd ran out of all other ways to get him to have his tablets in his food as he's become wise to all my tricks, so these were my last hope! He must have the tablets as they are for heart disease & are stopping him going in to heart failure. I'd read someone else said to mold a treat to the pill pocket, I tried this & it has an 80% success rate! I find I have to use different treats each week so he doesn't get bored & refuse them! On the days he refuses I have a pot of catnip powder which I roll the pill pocket in & he will take them then! These cats have us wrapped round their paws!! But they are worth it! Being in the UK the pill pockets do ... these aren't a miracle but you can find ways to enhance them so cats will take them. The company who makes them could do with improving the flavour & bring more flavour's out for cats, there are only chicken & salmon, whereas there are about 6 flavour's for dogs! My cat changes his mind on which he prefers, so I try & have a packet of each in! They are very expensive to buy for what they are if in the UK, but I presume it's to cover import & shipping costs. One last thing, I've found when you seal the packet, squeeze all the air as you seal it, if you don't do this the treats start to dry out after a week or so, taking out all the air from the packet stops this happening.

Hassle free tablet administration
I use these for my cat who is on thyroid tablets. They are great. I have 3 cats, so every morning I put the pill in one of these for the cat that has to have it and then feed all 3 cats by hand on a couple of 'Aldi' cat treats each, making sure that I coat the Pill Pocket with the flavour of the Aldi cat treat because sometimes he doesn't eat the Pill Pocket on its own, but it works wonderfully and all 3 cats queue up for their treats in the morning. The only downside to these is that I have to get them from the USA as I can't find anyone in England who stocks them at a competitive price.I use these for my cat who is on thyroid tablets. Brilliant idea!
My Maine Coon cat weighs 19lb , and he needs 3-4 pills every day indefinitely. These are my only way to get the pills into him... but sometimes they are very over priced. However , excellent product and can afford them.
