The UK mains voltage can be as high as 253V. My mains voltage has been measured at 249V. The bulb is very bright. With the bulb hanging down in a very open light shade the base of the lamp gets very hot. As I am a electronics engineer I do wonder how hot the components inside the bulb are getting. I would not put the bulb in any type of enclosed light fitting.

I bought 3 sets of these beautiful wall lights as we are renovating the dining room. When we opened the 2nd box the shade had shattered so I Immediately contacted the seller. Without hesitation a replacement was sent out & arrived really quickly. The lights themselves are a fantastic quality, truly gorgeous & look really classy! The price was amazing as we saw similar lights but alot more money.
