    The microphone sold to me was a counterfeit, as confirmed by Shure themselves (email screenshot attached). It was a very good copy, extremely difficult to discern from a genuine product, but this was confirmed to be the case. It is impossible to tell whether this is something the seller was aware of, although the parcel had attached what seemed to be Chinese language shipping labels, and it took a suspiciously long amount of time to arrive, for a supposed UK-based seller.
