    Great for a lot of foods!

    I had borrowed an older style like this dehydrator and it worked good. So far I have dried 40 pounds sweet onions, 5 pounds green onions , bell Peppers, lots of hot peppers , celery ( leaves and stalks) and tomatoes all added seasoning and rubs , since I like to cook a lot of different ways. Using this dehydrator I save money getting fresh vegetables from the garden and friends and drying them out .

    A Nice Product

    The Elite dehydrator gets the job done in a quiet and efficient manner. I had a Mr. Coffee dehydrator of the same size and capacity a few years ago and would have bought another, but they apparently don't make them under that brand name anymore. The Elite is essentially the same machine and is equally as efficient. The trays are easy to stack or add and subtract, depending on the amount of food you are drying. Soak the trays for a while in warm, soapy water and any food residue lifts right off. Product also runs quietly and achieves a temperature of about 140 degrees throughout. One caution: the Elite achieves drying faster than the manual guide would indicate. If you prefer your dried fruits a bit chewy and a bit moist, then cut back on the drying hours.     Worth the purchase

    I am making my first batch of Jerky, and it is really good. while it take 24-36 hours to make it is well worth it. Patience is a virtue and necessary when making Jerky. Would recommend this product.

    Does it's job well!

    I had previously owned the predecessor for many years. The heating element finally conked out. Replaced it with this same unit, different brand name because of the reliability and I now have ten trays if needed. Satisfied.
