Packaging for postage was useless; only a thin protection for the glass part ...designed to keep your fingers off the glass rather than to protect the glass from breaking. If a postal box had landed on it, the contents would have smashed. Good old Royal Mail for treating as fragile as described on the envelope that it arrived in. Think that was more luck than by design.
