    This book may have captured the Titanic before she finally disintegrates beyond all recognition.

    I remember news of the expedition when Dr Ballard found the wreck of the Titanic and was mesmerised by the images that were released of the once-great liner. This book not only tells that story but compares images of the wreck with the glory of the ship as she was before she sank - ponce labelled as the most luxurious ship afloat. Sadly, the wreck has greatly deteriorated in recent years, not helped by the number of 'tourist' visits to the site (some 2 miles deep), so this book may have captured the Titanic before she finally disintegrates beyond all recognition.
