Great improvement on my iPhone 4S

I desperately needed a phone with more capacity - my 4S was only 16GB and ran out of space. Also the battery had to be charged every night. It always ran out of juice at the key moment when I wanted to take a photo or find my by using maps. With this new phone, I love the larger screen which helps when I am reading my Kindle books on the tube. The larger memory is going to let me do much more with the phone but I am mindful that all the gadgets drain the battery so I have switched off things like Siri (which I don't need) and have ensured that things only get updated whilst on Wi-Fi. Therefore I don't charge the battery every day now. However, it is still needing charging every other day and I think that is quite poor especially after the steps I have taken to save it from getting drained.

    Excellent value

Having owned the iPhone 4, 4s, 5s and 6plus versions previously I have seen the gradual improvements with each generation. Although the speed increases have been subtle and the camera improvement has been noticeable, it's been the battery life I have noticed getting much better since the 5s. Although the newer 7plus has an amazing dual camera system and further speed increase, I cannot justify the cost at this moment. In my opinion the 6s plus offers incredible value for money by being almost as good for half the price. It's fast and capable, an excellent camera and brilliant battery life too. The size is still problematic for one handed use, but the large screen and battery are very handy. The overall size I think is about right for a phablet and fits okay in my pockets

    Early problems

This was a keenly priced 16gb model and great value if like me storage capacity is not important to you. However, setting up was a real problem - it couldn't connect to the AppStore or iTunes. I tried rebooting - and the screen froze on the Apple logo and nothing would shift it. So off to the Apple Store in Bath who were fantastic and fixed it in no time. Their opinion was that because it was an oldish model and had been in the box for some time that it had missed too many updates. Anyway, it works perfectly now and despite the weight increase over my old 5s I'm finding it to be a great improvement in all respects.

    iPhone 6S 32GB Space Grey

Bought this phone as an upgrade from the previous 5S I had been using for some time, so I was already familiar with this type of phone and only had to get used to 3D Touch which so far I have only used once and also Apple Pay, which I have also only used once. As with all Apple products it performs admirably well, but if I had to criticise one thing it would be the relocation of the power switch which has been moved from the top of the phone to the side opposite the volume buttons. This makes it awkward to use without adjusting the volume.

    JAN,S. IPHONE

It's the best smartphone I have , quick response in getting the info you need .The finger ID is excellent security ,also have to use Password ID at times so an added security too .Very happy with everything it does no problems with getting the things you need it prompts you, which is helpful , I can manage it with using one hand by holding it in the palm . I am not sure about carrying it in your pocket at a massive 5 5 screen it's much larger ,BUT well worth it for the extra you get size ,lovely lphone to use ,Treat yourself well worth it .

Better than my 5S in most areas

I upgraded to a 6S+ because I wanted a larger screen size when my 5S died. Overall I'm very happy. It seems a faster machine and the bigger screen makes a difference when watching videos etc. It's not as robust as with the sturdy metal casing of the 5S. There again I've never come across a phone that is. However, I moved across to using wallet-cases a couple of years ago which protect the phone well and avoid the use of screen guards. One last and vital thing for me - the 6S+ uses the old fashioned headphones which are much cheaper than propietary ear goggles.

Best budget iPhone, maybe best iPhone overall.

If you want a cheap iPhone that will remain on current software for at least another year, this is it. The 6s / plus is the oldest generation of iPhone that will run iOS 13, as a result is also one of the cheapest (the absolute cheapest being the SE). I use this as well as an XS Max (work / personal setup) and the Max is indeed better, but for work use there's really not much difference at all. Considering the Max is one decimal point more expensive than the 6s, given a choice between the two you should probably buy a 6s.

    take the plunge

A little wary at first about the size jump from IPhone 5s. A reasonably recent convert to apple, the 5s being my first IPhone. I need not have concerned myself with the size increase at all. Although larger I have not found the IPhone plus in any way cumbersome. The increase in RAM and processor size is immediately noticeable over the 5s, with the 6s plus being markedly faster. Battery life is also considerably longer over the 6s also. Build quality is as always good. I have to say 3d touch is proving to be a really useful addition, having initially been sceptical.

Still great if you want the headphone jack!

Quite a step up over the 6 Plus. The speed difference is noticeable, and the added benefits of the 3D Touch display are nice, even if they aren't entirely necessary. The slightly increased battery life over the 6s is nice, although I'm not sure that many apps really make good use of the extra screen real estate of the larger Plus, especially in landscape. Overall, I'm not sure the Plus is really *worth* the extra money/ size/ inconvenience over the 'normal' iPhone, but this was a great deal, so I'm glad I picked it up.

    Iphone 6s plus

Always been on android. I found the iphones 4.7 inch screen too small for my eyesight, now using the plus with a 5.5 inch screen, heavier than my android phones but not unmanageable, better battery life of two days or more. I also find the signal much better, i can get 4 G in places I couldnt with my htc one m8 android, same provider. Both platforms have there pros and cons.
