nice design with easy to use controls, easy to fill if you use a small pale for the water. works great, nice lighted control. auto shut off and warning light for when it runs out of water. 3 speed fan. no auto humidity settings. but also NO WICK or FILTER to clean and or replace. uses a water wheel, I can not express how happy i am to not have to replace wicks and filters.

This unit is very easy to maintain, the overall design is simple and it does not over humidify a room. I bought this unit after trying several high tech ultrasonic humidifiers which either got the surrounding area too wet with vapor or were difficult to keep clean and mold free over the long term. This LW24 airwasher also has a patented system which draws in air/dust and filters it through the water found in the basin. Quite simple yet very ingenious. The air in my room smells outdoor fresh and my stuffy nose allergy symptoms are gone at night. Its worth the price.
This is my second Venta. This is an earlier version (by a couple years?) but it performs like the newer version. Much quieter than a cheaper humidifier, and it collects particles from the air - worth the extra money. My hack for keeping it clean is to add a dash of vinegar every few days. With traditional humidifiers, I have to buy new filters each year. They always get moldy and nasty towards the end of the season (in TN). The Venta just needs a good cleaning, I put the wheel in the dishwasher, and it's ready to store for the next year.

I spent hours researching several products before settling on this one. For starters, I figured anything with a 10 year warranty had to be pretty good. Second, I have a dry house and winter allergies and I figured this would help. I am still waiting though it's only been a few days. I am amazed how quiet this is (despite some reviews saying otherwise) and how much water it does go through in 24 hours. Just under 3 large pitchers of water, each holding about a quart and a half so I know the air is being moisturized. I do wish I could put an aromatherapy oil in it but am not going to take a chance and void a warranty. would I buy it again? I believe I would do so as of this point.
I like this product for the most part. It is quiet on settings 1&2 (low and med) but not 3 (high). It does not give the humidity level I was expecting for the square footage shown. It works better in a room with the door closed so the small amount of humidity doesn't escape the area.
